The Acquarena Brixen is one of South Tyrol’s most beautiful bathing and sauna complexes, and it’s just around the corner. You bring the swimwear, we’ll provide a bath bag complete with bathrobe, towels and slippers. 

The Brixen Südtirol Guest Pass: Your key to South Tyrol.

At check-in, you’ll receive your complimentary Brixen Südtirol Guest Pass. It opens up the whole of South Tyrol. Free use of all public transport. Free admission to three museums in Brixen: the Bishop’s Palace, Pharmacy Museum, Abbazia di Novacella.  At certain times in summer, a return ride on the Plose cable car is included. The card is valid from the day of arrival until the day of departure.

Breakfast is served from 7 to 10 am in the Viertel Bar. Fresh regional products, homemade specialities, local organic bread from a town bakery, plus carefully selected teas and top-quality coffee.

We’re located in the heart of the pedestrian zone, with no direct access by car – but that’s part of the magic of staying at this exclusive location. The Viertel Garage is just 300 metres away, in Obere Schutzengelgasse 24–26. We’re happy to reserve a space for you in advance: €25 per day/car or €12.50 for motorbikes. Please share your licence plate at the time of booking so we can register you. Alternatively, you’re welcome to use the Stufels multi-storey car park on Via Cesare Battisti, or the Priel/Acquarena car park.

Brennero, Val Pusteria, Bolzano:  South Tyrol’s vast network of cycle paths begins right at your doorstep. We offer e-bikes for hire, in the right size, for a fee. Our three models: Ducati Mig-S Fully for off-road tours. Focus Jarifa MTB for trails and forest tracks. Kalkhoff city bike with low entry for relaxed valley excursions.

Just around the corner, we cook at the Alte Schlachthof using products from local farmers and nearby suppliers. Regional isn’t a buzzword here – it’s a lived philosophy.

Your pet is welcome in selected rooms upon request. We charge €20 per day.

What is Badhaus?

The Boutique Hotel Badhaus is South Tyrol’s design hotel in Brixen. 21 rooms, architecture by bergmeisterwolf architekten (German Design Award 2026 and BIG SEE Grand Prix 2025) and a location as central as it gets.  Just 121 m from the cathedral and within easy walking distance of all the sights in Brixen’s old town. Room rates start at €220 per night, including breakfast & Brixen Südtirol Guest Pass. Badhaus is made for couples with a passion for design, where contemporary architecture meets Alpine culture. Also ideal for a workation and sightseeing stay. 

How central is the Badhaus architecture hotel?

Right in the heart of Brixen’s old town: 121 metres from the cathedral, 64 metres from the Pharmacy Museum, 322 metres from the Bishop’s Palace. The train station is a 14-minute walk away.

What’s included in the Brixen Südtirol Guest Pass?

Included with every stay, the Brixen Südtirol Guest Pass offers:

  • Free local transport throughout South Tyrol
  • Plose cable car (May to October)
  • Free admission: the Bishop’s Palace, Diocesan Museum, Pharmacy Museum, Abbazia di Novacella
  • 3 hours daily at Acquarena (pools)

Is there a restaurant in the hotel?

The Viertel Bar is our culinary hub: home-brewed Viertel Bier from our brewery in Sciaves, aperitifs and international cuisine. The bar is also open to locals. 

When are check-in and check-out?

Check-in: 3:00 pm – 9:00 pm Check-out: 7:30 am – 10:30 am. If you’d like to stay longer, ask for a late check-out – we’ll do our best to make it happen.

Are children welcome?

Badhaus is designed for those who value peace and thoughtful design, which is why we are an adults-only hotel. 

Where can I park?

Our Viertel Garage is located 300 metres from the hotel (€25/day, 8 e-charging stations). Thanks to the included Brixen Südtirol Guest Pass, you can explore all of South Tyrol by public transport – free of charge. Your car gets a well-earned rest.

Is there Wi-Fi and space to work?

Complimentary high-speed Wi-Fi is available throughout the hotel. We’ve deliberately chosen not to put desks in the rooms. Instead, settle into the atmospheric Viertel Bar – or ask us about a dedicated workspace.

What is breakfast like?

Served daily from 7 to 10 am in the Viertel Bar. Regional organic products, home-baked bread, vegetarian and vegan options. Guest say: “One of the best breakfasts we’ve ever had.”

Can I hire e-bikes?

For stays of three nights or more, a premium e-bike is included in the “City & Bike” package from March to October. For shorter stays, available on request.

Is there a wellness area?

Not in the hotel – but something better. You can take advantage of 3 hours complimentary daily access (except Sundays and public holidays) to Acquarena Brixen – just a 5-minute walk away – featuring indoor and outdoor pools. Massages in the hotel can be arranged on request.

Are pets allowed?

On request and in selected rooms. A fee of €20 per pet per night applies. 

Who designed the Hotel Badhaus in Brixen?

bergmeisterwolf architekten. Awarded the German Design Award 2026 and the BIG SEE Architecture Award 2025 Grand Prix. The art installations are by Michael Fliri.
